There have been a number of major industry developments, with large businesses being purchased or handing off some of their IP (see Microgaming's latest announcement), and 2022 is certain to bring its own set of surprises. The online gambling sector has benefited from consumers staying indoors longer at the expense of visiting physical locations, and this trend is expected to continue in the future. Another year has passed, and we are still living in the shadow of a pandemic, but there is a high chance that 2022 will be the year we return to normalcy or anything close to it.
